It’s essential for your hair stylist to assist you in determining the ideal hair extension length for a seamless, natural appearance. The golden rule to remember is to avoid choosing extensions significantly longer than your current hair length.

If your hair is too short, blending extremely long extensions can be challenging, leading to a choppy and conspicuous outcome. We’ve all witnessed some hair extension mishaps, and they’re certainly not a flattering sight.

Please note: We have provided a handy chart to estimate hair length. Keep in mind that curly and wavy extensions tend to be 1-2 inches shorter than straight hair of the same stated length. Our chart helps you figure out where your hair will fall on your head. It’ll appear longer if placed towards the nape.

With proper care hair extensions can last 2-3 years or more, depending on the amount of wear too. Keep in mind, the more you wash and heat style your extensions, the shorter their lifespan will be. To keep your Clip-In Hair Extensions looking their best, follow these care instructions:

Brush Gently: Brush your hair 2-3 times a day to keep your extensions tangle-free. Remember to use a soft-bristle brush to detangle your extensions before and after wearing them. Start from the tips and work your way up to the roots.  

Wash with Care: Wash your extensions sparingly using a mild, sulfate-free shampoo for extensions. Gently rinse and condition, avoiding excessive rubbing.

Preserve Moisture:Unlike your own hair, hair extensions don’t have a natural hydration source from the oils on your scalp. To hydrate, apply a moisturizing hair mask 1 time per week. Apply a mask from mids to ends of hair only, never at the scalp. 

Air Dry: Allow your extensions to air dry whenever possible. Avoid excessive heat styling extensions to prolong their lifespan.
